Equinox was founded in 2012 by a couple who returned to Yorkshire after discovering Kombucha backpacking around Asia. In 2013, MD Daniel Spayne invested and became a Co-Founder of the business. He moved to work full time in the business from 2016 and Equinox has grown exponentially under his guidance in the years that have followed.

In 2019, Yeo Valley Associates saw the potential of both Equinox and the kombucha market in the UK and decided to invest in the business, supporting its growth ever since.

Yeo Valley’s Ben Newton is excited to see Equinox continue to grow with the funds it has raised – ‘When we first came across Equinox Kombucha, its purpose led approach to creating a positive impact, and its focus on making high quality organic products really shone through.
