Welcome to The Wood Life Project

If you’re looking for some beautiful, eco-friendly homeware to gift this year then the FSC certified Wood Life Project is the perfect place to shop! The Wood Life Project was started by married couple Hazel and Jimmy Russell out of concern for their two young boys’ future. Hazel and Jimmy wanted to create a brand that offered plastic-free alternatives and inspired others to change their consumption habits too. Their products are designed and manufactured in their Norfolk workshop and have family at its heart – with an emphasis on family mealtimes. All the wood used is sourced from the UK, using only 100% British sustainable Beech wood that is certified by the EU Timber Regulation too. Whether you want to get fun plates for the little ones in your life, or kitchenware for the adults, see their products here.

Andy and Jen with their organic wool

Our neighbours and friends at Fernhill Farm have been managing flocks of sheep on Yeo Valley land for over 15 years! Andy Wear and Jennifer Hunter are first-generation farmers who, like us, are supporters of regenerative farming. Andy is an award-winning sheep shearer and has represented England at international competitions! Jennifer is also passionate about wool, helping re-educate others on all its benefits. Together they produce the most beautiful organic wool that features in their products, from scarves and mittens to hot water bottle covers that are all sold on the Yeo Valley Farm shop. Look at the full range here.

The Beeswax Wrap Co.

The Beeswax Wrap Co are a British based company founded by Fran in 2017. After retraining as an acupuncturist, Fran became concerned about plastics and their effect on the body. Once she discovered how much plastic is prevalent in the food industry, her kitchen in Gloucestershire became the birthplace of The Beeswax Wrap Co, which has since grown into a thriving independent business. The female-led company is passionate about helping people go plastic-free! Beeswax wraps are the perfect alternative to clingfilm in your kitchen, helping keep your food fresh and clean. Why not purchase some to keep your homemade baked gifts fresh – the perfect gift wrap! Take a look at the different patterns available on our Farm Shop here.

Tregothnan Tea

Tregothnan put the “English into English tea” through their various tea blends that are grown right here in the UK! The journey began in 1999, when after years of research, their head gardener Jonathon planted the first ever British tea bushes. Tregothnan’s unique environment meant that the crop was able to persevere, and in 2005 their first harvest yielded 28 grams of tea. Since 2005, the company has grown massively, and now plants up to 20,000 tea bushes every year. Tregothnan Tea’s deep-rooted history means they have had time to refine their blends and now offer a range of products that are the perfect present for the tea lovers in your life.
