A Day in our Organic Garden

Spend the day in our 6 ½ acre organic garden. During your time with us, you will be fully refreshed courtesy of our award winning kitchen team – morning coffee, a homemade lunch, afternoon tea and garden entry is included.

Your day will start with a guided tour by one of the gardeners with plenty of opportunity to engage in lively discussion. After lunch at our HQ, you will return to the garden. And then it’s time to go behind the scenes with tips and tricks on all things organic; you will see how we make our compost, raise our plants and what special brews we use.

We’ve added some different themes to some of our dates, meaning you can always find something to suit you! Click here to find out more about the monthly themes.

Watch Out! Bring your wet weather gear if rain is looking likely.

I Had a wonderful day on the garden tour, excellent food, lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble. Always something new to learn about the garden.

Really enjoyed the Organic Garden Day. The staff were friendly , knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Picked up so many tips. I know this was an Organic Garden Day but it was wonderful to see the cows out in the lush pasture, no use of pesticides or herbicides and all operations powered by solar panels, this must be the future of farming. I’m so lucky to live in Bristol and I’ll be out at Yeo Valley soon I hope.

A very interesting, enjoyable and informative day out in a very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the afternoon session when I learned so much and there was plenty of time to ask questions of the very knowledgeable gardeners. Lunch at the canteen was very nice with stunning views over the valley. Only one slight criticism, the garden was difficult to find and it would be useful to send visitors a map or put one on the website. I printed a map from streetmap website as we were instructed not to use satnav but ended up down by the lake prior to asking a local for directions.

I was immediately welcomed on my (late!) arrival. The whole place has a very upbeat and positive feel about it. The organic gardens are glorious and I enjoyed the tour. Lunch was superb, couldn’t fault it and the staff in the canteen were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming again.

We were shown around the beautifully kept gardens by the head gardener, Andi, who was friendly, passionate & very knowledgeable. Andi encouraged questions, gave great gardening tips and also had plenty of funny stories to tell.

The lunch provided at the Yeo Valley canteen was of the highest quality, with local fresh ingredients and spectacular views over the valley and lake. All of the staff were very friendly and clearly enjoyed their jobs.

Thank you for a great day.

We absolutely loved our garden day visit. It was well worth the trip down from york with our 4 month old girl. The staff were amazing and Andi who took us round the garden is incredibly knowledgeable and made the day fun and interesting. We’ve learnt so much about garden wildlife – I will no longer hate wasps! Also great to learn of organic and sustainable gardening ideas. The atmosphere was very relaxed and there were places for us to go with our baby when she needed a bit of shade from the sun or feeding. All the food we were given was delicious. The gardens are so tranquil and calming – it was a whole sensory experience in nature. We plan to come back next year!

This was an excellent day at the beautiful garden with an informative and enthusiastic guide and plenty of opportunity to ask questions and exchange experience. My only slight criticism is that the lunch at Yeo Valley canteen was rather meager and unimaginative compared with previous visits.

Garden tour was excellent. Andy is so knowledgeable and brilliant at explaining everything. The only disappointment was lunch. The spinach and egg pie was lovely but there was far too much carbohydrate – pastry potatoes and bread and not enough salad or other vegetables. Dessert was tasty but again minimal amount of fruit. A bit odd really when the day featured organic vegetable growing- I thought I was going to be eating a lot more of them!
