Bees Knees
Do you know how many eyes a bee has? (it’s not two!) Or which part of its body it uses to taste? (not its tongue!) If the answer is no, come along to hear beekeeper and author Richard Rickitt give a fascinating and entertaining talk about bees and beekeeping! You will find out about the extraordinary lifecycle of honey bees, how they live, communicate, make honey and pollinate our food.
This event will be of interest to anyone who gardens, would like to know more about bees and beekeeping, wants to know how to help the bees or who just enjoys a bit of honey on their porridge!
Richard Rickitt has been keeping bees for more than 2o years and is co-editor of BeeCraft, the UK’s best-selling beekeeping magazine. He frequently speaks on the subject of bees making him one of the UK’s best-known beekeepers.
