    • Can I drop into the farm to say hello?

We’d love you to come and visit us so you can see our farm in the stunning Yeo Valley, but we’re only open for visitors on certain days of the year.
Please have a peek at our tours pages to find out how to join one of our lovely tours, the dates of Yeo Valley Organic Garden events and the opening times of our Tea Room which serves lovely homemade goodies. We hope to welcome you to the valley very soon.

    • Are you still organic?

Yes, being organic has never been more important to us, which is why we talk about it all over our packs. The Soil Association awarded us their Ethical Trade certification for supporting organic British dairy farming. We’ve also introduced ‘Yeoganic’, which is our way of being organic and more – you can find out all about it on our new website.

    • Is it safe to eat your yogurt when pregnant?

We’re pleased to tell you that all our yogurts are pasteurised and therefore safe to eat during pregnancy.

    • What’s Yeoganic?

Yeoganic is a bit of fun and it is our way of showing everyone that we are organic and more – we go the extra country mile to look after our land and animals, and people too. For example, we grow organic food to feed our staff, we use 100% green electricity and we manage 50 acres of our farms as habitat for wildlife. You can find out more here.

    • What does ‘Proper Organic’ mean?

It means we do more than you’d expect even from an organic brand. It’s all about doing the right thing, being really sustainable, so we can be farming here in the valley forever. For example, we power our dairies using green electricity, use home-grown elephant grass to heat our offices and manage 50 acres of our farms purely as habitat for wildlife. It’s just another way of saying ‘Yeoganic’. You can find out more about it here on our lovely new website.

  • Our brand
    • How do you support British family farms?

British farming is important to us; it’s about looking after the land and the people that work on it so we can be here forever. In 1994 we helped a small group of organic dairy farmers find a stable market for their milk by helping form a co-operative called OMSCo. Today we still buy milk from OMSCo, and we’re also helping to create a future for organic dairy farming by educating children with help from our friends at the charity Farmlink. • Our children’s range
    • Is your Little Yeos 6-pack range suitable for my baby?

Our Little Yeos 6-pack range is suitable for weaning babies over the age of 6 months, but every child develops at a different rate so you may want to feed them to your baby earlier than that. We would recommend you have a chat with your midwife or doctor if you’re unsure about weaning your baby. This blog post by our nutritionist may also help!

    • Why do the Little Yeos 6-packs have no added refined sugar?

Our Little Yeos 6 pack range is designed for children who are weaning, so we want mums to be confident that there is nothing but mild and smooth organic goodness in each pot for their little ones, this means no added refined sugar!

    • Is there any added sugar or preservatives in the children’s range?

Our Little Yeos 6-pack range is for children who are weaning so they’re only sweetened with fruit juice. We have added a tiny amount of organic sugar into our Little Yeos 4-pack to give them a more rounded flavour for older children.

  • Things we make
    • Do you use 100% natural ingredients in your recipes?

We do not add any preservatives or nasties to our Yogurts. We make them how nature intended!

    • Are all your ingredients British?

We are proud supporters of buying British wherever possible, but unfortunately the UK doesn’t have the climate to grow all our ingredients all year round, so we have to look abroad for some things. But in an effort to get our hands on even more British fruit we’ve started up an almighty Fruit Quest! If you grow organic fruit then we’d love to hear from you. Find out more over here!

  • What we say on our packs
    • Why does it say ‘British’ on some of your packs, but not all?

We are proud supporters of ‘buying British’ wherever possible, but unfortunately the UK doesn’t have the climate to grow all our ingredients all year round so we have to look abroad for some things. We’ve worked with our overseas suppliers for many years though.

    • Why is yogurt spelt incorrectly on your packs (Yeogurt)?

We’re glad you spotted that, thank you for noticing and taking the time to find out more about it. At Yeo Valley we have always spelt yogurt without an ‘h’ because we know there is no ‘hurt’ whatsoever in making our tasty yogurt. Each pot is full of organic goodness and no artificial flavours or additives. But we don’t just stop there… we also go the extra country mile to be sustainable and look after the land and animals on our farm. Everything we do, including making yogurt, we do ‘the Yeo Valley way’ and so we thought our pun ‘Yeogurt’ might be a fun way to express it.
