At Yeo Valley we’re really proud of our organic farms and their role in supporting biodiversity. Our farms thrive with wildlife and provide a safe haven for many wild species including bees, mice, owls and skylarks to grow and flourish. Supporting our natural wildlife enables a more productive ecosystem.
We’ve teamed up with everyone’s favourite naturalist, Steve Backshall, to shine a light on biodiversity on organic farms and to explore how we can support it in our own back gardens.

The Sound of the Organic Farm
This first of a kind, on-farm recording brings to life all the wonderful and unique sounds that can be heard on our organic farms.
Over the course of the bustling track, you can listen in on a number of species in their natural environment, showcasing how organic farms are home to a whole range of creatures and wild plants.
So plug into nature and out of lockdown with the sounds of Yeo Valley!
Behind the recording of our Biodiversity Soundscape
Supported by Steve Backshall, we captured the different hums, echos and buzzes that can be heard on our organic dairy farm, from morning to evening, to form a fifteen-minute soundscape filled with nature’s melody.
In this video he talks through why listening to the sounds of nature can be a great way to connect to it!
