Yogurt Dough Cheese Twists
We’ve been whipping up some tasty recipes with GBBO’s Briony May Williams and Kitchen Aid like this tasty cheesy treat!
Ingredients
350g self raising flour
½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
250g Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt
200g Yeo Valley Mature Cheddar, grated
Method
- Oven on to 200C fan. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Add the flour, baking powder, salt and yogurt to the KitchenAid mixing bowl with the dough hook attachment. Mix gently to combine then turn up the speed and knead for a few minutes until smooth.
- Tip out the dough and knead into a ball. Divide this into 6 equal balls.
- Take the first dough ball and flatten into a disc using the palm of your hand. Place a handful of grated cheddar on half of the dough and fold the other half of the dough on top of the cheese.
- Roll into a sausage shape and twist each end a few times.
- Place on the prepared tray, brush with milk and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Repeat with the other 5 pieces of dough.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
