Yogurt Dough Cheese Twists

We’ve been whipping up some tasty recipes with GBBO’s Briony May Williams and Kitchen Aid like this tasty cheesy treat!

350g self raising flour

½ tsp baking powder

1 tsp salt

250g Yeo Valley Natural Yogurt

200g Yeo Valley Mature Cheddar, grated

50ml Yeo Valley Whole Milk


  1. Oven on to 200C fan. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, salt and yogurt to the KitchenAid mixing bowl with the dough hook attachment. Mix gently to combine then turn up the speed and knead for a few minutes until smooth.
  3. Tip out the dough and knead into a ball. Divide this into 6 equal balls.
  4. Take the first dough ball and flatten into a disc using the palm of your hand. Place a handful of grated cheddar on half of the dough and fold the other half of the dough on top of the cheese.
  5. Roll into a sausage shape and twist each end a few times.
  6. Place on the prepared tray, brush with milk and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Repeat with the other 5 pieces of dough.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
