At the Yeo Valley Café in London, you can enjoy a slice of the valley (or two!) on one of our tables made from recycled yogurt pots!
We know how important it is to reduce plastic waste, which is why we’re excited about this latest project to re-purpose our used yogurt pots and other plastic items.
When we re-opened the café after lockdown, we partnered with a Bristol-based designer who recommended using Smile Plastics as a manufacturer for our new tables.
Smile Plastics are a UK company who take waste plastics, such as discarded chopping boards, cosmetics bottles and yogurt pots, and transform them into solid surface panels. By repurposing single-use plastics in this way, they help the reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.
Not only are their products made from 100% recycled plastics – they’re also 100% recyclable!
At our Yeo Valley Café, our Smile Plastics ‘Alba‘ white table booths and outdoor tables are made from repurposed plastic yogurt pots. They have a marble-like surface that contain hints of gold and silver which are actually from the yogurt pot foils!
Why not pop in for a visit and see them for yourself?

Would be nice if perhaps smaller household items, like chopping boards could be made!
Great!!! So good to hear that our recycling efforts are really being used for something so positive.
I’m really impressed with the tables being recycled yoghurt cartons. Perfect synergy there!
Well done. Its so special and comforting to Know that you are taking care of our beautiful World. Thank you for all you are doing and, of course, for your yummy ‘good for my tum’ foods. Xx
