Marc’s Gluten-Free Chocolate Brownies

This winning recipe from our very own chef Marc goes perfectly with our sweet crème fraiche range.

250g butter
200g dark chocolate
80g cocoa powder
1 tspn baking powder
4 eggs
200g light brown sugar
160g dark muscovado sugar
120g gluten free flour

Crème fraîche, sweet crème fraiche or ice cream to serve


1. Butter and line a 15inch by 10inch tray and pre heat the oven to 170C
2. Break the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt, along with the butter, in a Bain Marie.
3. Meanwhile, beat the eggs and both types of sugar together, before folding in the melted chocolate mix
4. Fold in the flour, cocoa and baking powder, taking care to ensure you have a smooth mix then pour into your lined tray
5. Pop into the pre-heated oven for 18-20 minutes
6. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve with crème fraîche or ice cream
